This mid 19th century US Military History print features Major General George Meade, a career officer in the US Army who started out as a construction engineer for building lighthouses and ended up fighting in the American Civil War as a Union Army General commanding the Army of the Potomac. He also served with distinction in the Mexican American War and the Second Seminole War.
